The event took place yesterday, Tuesday, being September 6, 2023 at a meeting in Abuja, where the Federal Capital Territory’s Chapter of the Igala Youth Vanguard (IYV) visited Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim Idris in his Office.
Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris thanked them for endorsing him to contest the PDP’s governorship ticket of 2023. He also admonished them all to canvass supports for the victory of Dr. Victor Alewo Adoji, Barr. Natasha Akpoti Uduhagan and Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Yusuf during the upcoming general elections of 2023 in Kogi State. He eulogized the various stance of the three Senatorial candidates across the three Senatorial districts. He also stated that the three Senatorial candidates are the best hands that can offer true representations for the state at the National level beyond 2023 given their experiences at various chosen field of endeavours.
Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim Idris once again thanked them all and emphasized on the needs for collective efforts in successful delivery of all other candidates of the party during the upcoming general elections.
The leader of the group Comrade Abdulkareem Okolo, after submitting the letter of endorsement to Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim Idris, said they carried out this action after careful studies and reflections on the political situations of Kogi State. They have realized that Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim Idris is the right candidate for our great party PDP and we have chosen to drum support for his emergence during the 2023 governorship election as our standard flagbearer.
Alh. Muhammed Baba Husseini reiterated that Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim is a household name and not a novice in Kogi politics, therefore, Abubakar Ibrahim Idris is loaded with all the necessary political arsenals to attract victory during the next elections come 2023.
The group assured Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim Idris of their total support and also pledged to go back home and mobilize people across the state in order to lead the party to victory come 2023.
