Abejide Homecoming: LASG DG Yomi Charles Moves to Reconcile Aggrieved APC Members in Mopamuro, Urges Unity

The Director-General of the Leke Abejide Support Group (LASG), Chief Yomi Charles Olorunshola, has intervened to address grievances among members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Mopamuro Local Government Area of Kogi State, calling for unity and reconciliation following the well-attended homecoming rally in support of Rt. Hon. Elder Leke Abejide.
Olorunshola said his intervention was undertaken on behalf of the LASG Grand Patron, Elder Leke Abejide, to reconcile aggrieved members, resolve internal disagreements and strengthen cooperation among party stakeholders.
He stressed that unity within the APC was essential to sustaining the party’s strength in Mopamuro and improving its prospects in forthcoming elections.
The grievances reportedly centred on party administration, the recognition and consideration of supporters, empowerment opportunities, leadership arrangements and other concerns arising from the homecoming rally.
As part of the reconciliation efforts, Olorunshola engaged various groups and individuals, including APC executives in Mopamuro, supporters of Elder Leke Abejide across the local government, APC councillorship candidates for the forthcoming local government elections and members of the Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria (MOUN), Mopamuro Chapter.
The meetings also involved APC leaders and stakeholders across the local government, aggrieved party members and other interested groups.
The engagements provided an opportunity for the different groups to express their concerns and explore ways to resolve disagreements that could affect unity within the party.
Olorunshola urged party leaders, members and supporters to put their differences aside and work collectively in the interest of the APC. He emphasised that mutual understanding, cooperation and reconciliation were necessary to strengthen the party’s political base in Mopamuro and beyond.
He assured stakeholders that efforts would continue to promote unity within the party, urging members to embrace dialogue and peaceful resolution of disputes rather than allow internal disagreements to undermine their shared political interests.
The intervention highlights LASG’s efforts to foster cohesion among APC stakeholders in Mopamuro following Abejide’s homecoming rally, as political activities ahead of forthcoming elections continue to gather momentum.
