Abdulrazaq, Waziri Hausa grief over late Cross Rivers CP


 

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara state has commiserated with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Nigeria Police Force, the people of Baboko community, Ilorin and the immediate family of the Commissioner of Police in Cross River State, Mr. Lanre Jimoh, who died on Friday.

The late commissioner of Police, who reportedly died of the coronavirus, is an indigene of Ilorin emirate.

A statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, said that the governor received the report of the death of CP Lanre Jimoh with sadness and prayed to God Almighty to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Also, the Waziri Hausawa in Kwara state and a former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Alhaji Waziri Yakubu Gobir, has commiserated with the family of late CP AbdulKadir Jimoh, the Emir of Ilorin and the entire Ilorin Emirate over the loss of one of the emirate’s sons.

The Waziri Hausawa described the death of late CP Jimoh as a rude shock and prayed to Allah to give the family and Emir of Ilorin the fortitude to bear the loss.

“CP AbdulKadir Jimoh is one of our finest in Ilorin Emirate and Kwara at large. He will be sorely missed by people and communities he had a great impact on during his life.

“My last encounter with CP Jimoh was at his late mother’s Janazah. He was a man ready to stretch his helping hands at all time, and I prayed that Allah gives his wife and children the fortitude to bear the loss, ” Waziri told reporters after the final rites in Ilorin
“CP Jimoh has left a large void in the Nigeria Police Force as a committed and loyal cop, and I commiserate with the Nigeria Police Force on the loss of one of them”, he said.
