A GREAT EDUCATIONIST GOES HOME: PRINCESS DR. HABIBA OMA ALHASSAN ATOJOKO 1963-2022.


Dr. Habiba Baby Alfa Alhassan Atojoko was born on the 9th January, 1963 to the great Ayegba Dynasty.

She started her primary school education at the LGEA school, Abocho from 1968-1974, then to the Holy Rosary College Idah from 1974 to 1979, from there to the Advance Teacher ‘s College ( ATC/ABU) Kano from 1987 to 1990, the famous Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria 1990 to 1993 for her Degree, University of Port-Harcourt from 1998 to 2004 for her Master’s then to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka from 2003 to 2018 for her Ph.D all in English Language respectively.

In 2007 she obtained her Teachers registration council of Nigeria certificate, Diploma in Computer Science with specialization in Computer Education.

She has authored two books with the title Introduction to Basic Grammar of English and writing 2017, Introduction to concepts and methods in Applied linguistics, 2017.
She has equally contributed to National and International journals , Teaching Functional English Language for Economic Growth and National Development ( 2018), Ensuring Quality Assurance and Quality Control in Administering English Language Examination for Sustainable Development (2017), Wrong Usage as Threat to English Language through Teaching and learning: The case of Igala Language, (2015) and over thirty contribution to national journals.
Until her death, she was the Head of Department of English Language at the Kogi State College of Education Ankpa.
Member of many professional bodies and community development association, Vice President Atojoko Descendants Association 2006 to 2008, Treasurer Onupi Women Association 2004 to 2006, Special Adviser on Economic Planning to HRH Ajofe Alhaji Hussein Saba Atojoko, Enene Onu Emakoji 2021 till date.
She has visited Mecca and Medina to worship Allah and other countries.
She is always out to support educational matters in the family and outside the family circle.
Princess Dr. Habiba Baby Alfa Alhassan Atojoko lived a life of service to humanity.
She likes reading, traveling and jogging while alive.
Our sincere condolences to HRM Dr. Alaji Matthew Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, the Attah Igala and President Kogi State Council of Chiefs, HRH Ajofe Alhaji Hussein Saba Atojoko Enene Onu Emakoji and the entire Atojoko Royal Dynasty over the irreplaceable loss.
