EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF IDAH LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL SUSPENDS CHIEF OF STAFF, SETS UP INVESTIGATIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Chairman of Idah Local Government Council, Hon. Alhaji Alfa Halilu, has suspended Mr. Sylvester Ukwumonu Ojogbane, the Chief of Staff to the Council, pending the outcome of an investigation into the alleged sale of the Local Government Property (Old Corpers Lodge) at Bishop Road Junction.

Hon. Alhaji Alfa Halilu has constituted a 7 Man investigative committee, chaired by Hon. Abdul Meyanga, to probe the allegations.

The committee’s members include:
1. Chairman: Hon. Abdul Meyanga
2. Secretary: Mrs. Grace Paka Ogala, Secretary of the Local Government

MEMBERS:
3. Hon. Memunat Sule (Council Leader)
4. Hon. S. S. Alkali (Supervisory Councillor of Works)
5. HOD Works
6. Hon. Victor Eida
7. Past. Melkidezek Elisha

In the interim, Comr. Bala Musa Eleojo has been appointed with immediate effect to act as the Chief of Staff, pending the report and resolution of the investigative committee.
