Group Appeals To Oba Ewuare To Invoke Curse On Cult Killings In Benin Kingdom

A Socio Cultural Group, the Benin United Forum, BUF, has appealed to
Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolo Kpolo, Oba Ewuare II, to invoke curse on the incessant Cults Killings in Part of BENIN kingdom.
The group in a release signed by Iyamu Osaro Culture- President and
Osayuki-Osa Benson-Secretary General, said, it has become an embarrassment to the people of the kingdom the unwarranted killings of youths as a result of cult related issues.
According to them, “It could be recalled that when human trafficking in Edo State assumed global embarrassment, our God’s King, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolo Kpolo, Oba Ewuare II, proactively intervened by invoking curse(s) on those who were involved in such dastardly and inhuman act which saw the end of the menace. ”
“Thus, this milestone attracted the influx of International Financial Aid to Edo State Government under the outgoing Godwin Obaseki who took the remittance and glory to himself without recourse to our revered Palace that made it possible.”
“In view of the aforementioned, we want to humbly appeal to our God’s King, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolo Kpolo Oba Ewuare II, CFR to direct our Ohens(Chief Priests) across the length and breath of Benin Kingdom to immediately place curse(s) on them.
Especially those who are hiding under Cultism to kill themselves in some part of Benin City which has consumed the lives of countless youths especially at Upper Sakponba Axis which is often seen as the center ground for the barbaric act, followed by Egor/Uwelu, Ugbowo/Uselu, part of GRA”.
BUF, also appealed to security agencies in the state to wake up to their responsibilities to ensure that those involved in the incessant killings are brought to book.he concluded.
