The Wife of Ebonyi State Governor Chief (Mrs) Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Ogbonna Nwifuru says the current administration led by her husband would deliver quality health care services to the people of the State.
Mrs Nwifuru stated this while receiving the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Mid-Wives, Ebonyi State who paid her a courtesy visit in her office in Abakaliki.
The Governor’s wife who underscored the need for a functional health system, said the new administration in the State has demonstrated its readiness to addressing the problems facing health sector by commencing the recruitment of many medical personnel, few weeks after their inauguration.
She said her office through her pet project would be willing to work with any Organization that has the potential of giving a face lift to the health system of the State.
Mrs Nwifuru commended the Nurses and Mid-Wives for their commitment to the duty of saving lives as well as for their decision to identify with her office.
Earlier in his remarks, the State Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Mid-Wives, Mr Bornblessed Obasi said they were in the office of the Governor’s wife to express their support for the new Government and to seek ways of collaborating her office.
He said the Association would be willing to collaborate her office in providing manpower for health facilities in the State, School health Programs and routine rural health outreaches among others.
However, the Association presented a flex banner to the Governor’s wife during the visit.
