A middle aged man, Mr. Iorver Udele from Ajio community in Kwande local government area, Benue northeast senatorial district has reportedly killed a lion with his bare hans.
Correspondent gathered that Mr. Udele was working on his cassava farm on mount Ngokur where the roaring wild beast appeared to attack him.
In self defence, the courageous Udele launched a fiercer counter attack which lasted for over ten minutes before he over powered the wild beast.
Mr. Udele whom many locals described as the “modern Samson” was rushed to Adikpo General hospital shortly after accomplishing the mission.
As at the time of filling this report, doctors attending to him confirmed that Mr. Udele was in a stable condition but efforts to reach the Chief Medical Director for further confirmation proved abortive.
