The Two Women Who Orchestrated the Controversy at Oxford University

Adrita Mitra, an over comfortable Indian leaving like a Westerner in London, and Madeleine Jane are two women every successful man should intercede not to cross paths with.

The controversy at Oxford University March this year; which as orchestrated involved Africa’s well adorned Writer and ace Author Onyeka Nwelue, and David Hundeyin, a Nigerian Journalist, Activist, and founder of West Africa Weekly. Accusing the duo of misogyny, racism, and classism.

The fallacious publication and allegations fabricated early March were not only targeted at the aforementioned but at the African continent in general. As established in the book of John 1:46 “Can there any good things come out of Nazareth?”
So also these self appointed investigators, Adrita Mitra and Madeleine Jane must have been dazed on why such bright minds from Africa with so much sagacity, pressing everyone’s neck at Oxford. Hence, they collaborated to bring out a fuss capable of denting the images of these bright young Africans and of course, ultimately the continent.

The most celebrated and widely adored African Writer and Author, Professor Wole Soyinka, a Nobel Laureate award winner, staked his reputation and name when he publicly came out to intervene in the Onyeka Nwelue/Oxford University’s saga, and the harm which it posses to his writing career in a publication titled “Beyond Nwelue: An Enabling Environment” and as published by PremiumTimes. The literary God took his time to dissect on why Nwelue should not be crucified even after his letter of apology.

Professor Wole Soyinka wasn’t the only big wig who has intervened. Other included Professor Akachi Ezeigbo who affirmed publicly why these hunters should let Onyeka rest and went further to describing him as a ‘global citizen.’

The world needs to know and respect the fact that long before the controversial publication, Onyeka Nwelue has been an assistant professor of African literature at the University of Manipur, in India. Also, having someone who lives by creating his own ideas without letting a third party do his thinking shouldn’t be a problem for us to worry about.
