We want to call on the attention of the Federal Government of Nigeria, the APC, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and the general public on attempts by political rascals to bring down our candidate all along.
Recall that our Candidate, Murtala Yakubu Ajaka and by the grace of God the next Governor of Kogi State, his name, followers and well wishers have been under attack since Hon Murtala declares his ambition for the top job of the state. These attacks amongst other things are the arrest of innocent citizens who are believed to be his supporters, suspension of party members who are believed to be with him, purported attempt to suspend the Aspirant over their imaginary “anti Party activities”, attempt to stop him in court and disallowed him from contesting, attempt to blackmail him using all means necessary amongst other things which have all failed.
We are therefore calling on the general public to be aware that the desperacy of those involved in these acts can best be described as voracious political rascals who wants to win a contest though the back door. The group is warning the Governor and Government of Kogi state under the leadership of Alh Yahaya Bello to provide all necessary security to Murtala Ajaka as he is set to flag the parties ticket to victory.
After these failed attempt, the only think left is the massive agenda of the gun runners to scare people from voting for our Candidate especially in Kogi East. We also have on good accounts that some politicians are ready to shoot till day break to ensure people do not come out but they will be met with stive resistance as a people determined and united can never be defeated.
The show of shame and the gang up that is being planed to take place in Igalamela, Idah, Ofu and other LGAs of Kogi state tomorrow must not happen. Those who believe to be popular should either stepped to the ring to show their popularity or throw in the towel. They must not drag everyone to the mod as the state is bigger than any interests of individuals or group.
We call on the Gov Metawalle’s led committee to choose a part of honour by staying off politics and the real umpire that they are expected to be. In any popular contest, our candidate remains a candidate of choice before and after the primary and the job of the committee will go along way to shape the future of APC in Kogi state.
In what is turning out to be the worst political mistake for the party, we must rise up against fascist who want to destroy the image of the party. If APC’s is to win the next contest, they know it must be through a popular candidate. Anything outside that will be dangerous for the party in the general election.
As a support group, we are very confident that our Candidate remains the best and shall be elected tomorrow by party faithfuls who are motivated by the direct mode of primary which gives all members of the party the chance to participate.
We wish to call on the general public to remain steadfast and come out in their numbers to elect our Man.
