62nd Independence Day: KEDA Boss Congratulates Nigerians, Appreciates Gov. Bello for MSME Development

…Says Future of Nigeria’s Economy is MSMEs

Hajiya Rekiya Onaivo Sanni, MD/CEO of Kogi Enterprise Development Agency (KEDA) has declared that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) remains the bedrock for the economic development of Nigeria and that the Executive Governor of Kogi State His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello has done well in making Kogites economically independent.

The KEDA boss stated this in a statement released to journalists in Lokoja on Saturday, 1st October in commemoration of Nigeria’s 62nd Independence anniversary.

Hajiya Rekiya appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for his smart policy support for Kogi MSMEs, which has continued to revolutionise the sector and improve the state’s economy.

“Numerous young men and women entrepreneurs in Kogi State have been provided platforms for capacity building, opportunities to leverage and upscale in the sector, and contribute meaningfully to the economy of the State.”

This development, according to the Agency boss, is being engineered by the Executive Governor adding that: “His Excellency’s interest and commitment to the growth of MSME has set the tone for an economically secured Nigeria which is a true definition of independence”.

“The Kogi template should be replicated at the centre as MSMEs will create more jobs, stimulate innovations and accelerate landmark developments.” the statement read.

She wished the MSMEs and Kogites a reflective Independence Day celebration.
