The Kogi State Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB IION, has reiterated the resolve of the state education ministry to continually exploit available means in raising educational standards in the state.
To this end, he said the Ministry is encouraging and partnering more with private and corporate bodies in programmes geared towards enhanced students’ performances and educational development.
Speaking in his office on Wednesday, when he received the technical committee of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, Abuja, Hon. Jones said the Ministry would justify Governor Bello’s irreversible focus on education by collaborating more and achieving more
He assured the NILDS team of the Ministry’s full support for their upcoming quiz competition, while encouraging more organisers of such programmes to partner with the Ministry.
Speaking earlier, the Director of Democracy and Governance, NILDS, Dr. Adewale Aderemi said the team was on advocacy visit for a quiz competition aimed at educating Nigerian youths and the general public in the legislative process of the National Assembly.
He encouraged Kogi State to participate fully in the competition to the advantage of her students and people; saying the offer was open to all states in the federation.
