Kogi state has a total number of Three (3) Senatoral Districts, Nine (9) Federal Constituencies, Twenty Five (25) State constituencies, Twenty One (21) Local Governments and Two hundred and thirty nine(239) Wards.

CONCLUSION:
From the above analysis, the people of Kogi East have been marginalised in the allocation of Administrative units such as Local Government, State and Federal Constituencies as it is presently. Therefore, the need for the creation of more Local governments, Federal and state constuencies in the to reflect the size and population of the District.
