By joshua Dr. Julius Atabo Emerges National President of Prince Abubakar Audu University Alumni Association
The Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba Alumni Association has elected Dr. Julius Atabo as its National President.
Dr. Atabo, whose full name is Dr. Aruwa Julius Atabo, emerged President at the 2026 National Delegates Congress of the University held at the Youth House, Lokoja.
Dr. Atabo, a lecturer in the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, defeated his rival, Mr. Daniel Alih Monday, in a keenly contested election.
He polled 81 votes to defeat his opponent who scored 19 votes.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Atabor promised to build on unity among members, improve members’ welfare and create linkages that will benefit the institution and the Alumni body.
The 2026 National Delegates Congress was attended by delegates from five Chapters of the Association, namely Bayelsa, Kogi, Lagos, Abuja and Kaduna Chapters.
Other National Officers elected at the Congress are:

– Vice President East: Sylvernus Ufaruna
– Vice President Central: Puke Simpa Isaac
– Vice President West: Hon. Obalaja Lanre
– Secretary General: Igu Ukwubile Acho
– Assistant Secretary: Peter Onucheyo
– Treasurer: Ajih Sam
– Financial Secretary: Sunday Eneojo Obaje
– Public Relations Officer: Dr. Samuel Atuluku
– Legal Adviser: Isah Aliu
The election was conducted by Comr. Jerry Ojodale Benjamin who served as Chairman of the Election Committee.
