By joshua Edo Govt Distributes School Materials, Motorbikes To Boost Basic Education Across 18 LGAs

The Edo State Government has distributed school items including bags, books, shoes and other learning materials to pupils across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
The items were provided through the State Universal Basic Education Board, (SUBEB), as part of efforts to improve access and quality in public primary schools.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the Chairman of SUBEB, Hon. Ayewoh Ambrose Oyakhilome, thanked the Governor for his commitment to education. He assured that the state government remains focused on raising the standard of public schools across the state.
In addition to school materials, the state government also distributed motorbikes to monitoring officers. The bikes are expected to help them carry out effective supervision of public schools in the state.
The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yekini Idaiye Oisayemoje represented by his Deputy, Hon. Osamwonyi Evbaguehita Atu also commended the initiative. He reiterated the Assembly’s support for government policies aimed at improving the welfare and learning conditions of students in the state.
The distribution is seen as part of the state government’s wider plan to make public schools more functional, accessible, and attractive to parents and pupils.
