As Kogi State marks its 35th anniversary, the state was yesterday lifted in prayers as the Deputy Governor led a special prayer session for the state at the Government House Chapel.

The solemn gathering, hosted by Pastor Henry Asarapo, Chaplain, Government House Chapel, brought together distinguished men of God who united in seeking divine intervention, wisdom, peace and continued progress for Kogi State and its people.

Among the notable spiritual leaders present was *Bishop John Ibenu*, alongside other respected clergymen who offered fervent prayers for His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and all government officials.

The prayers centered on the continued prosperity, peace, unity and development of Kogi State. Special supplications were also made for divine wisdom and strength for the government and its officials to serve the people with dedication, integrity and the fear of God.

Speaking at the session, the Deputy Governor noted that as Kogi clocks 35 years, it is important to commit the affairs of the state into God’s hands and seek His guidance for the journey ahead.

The prayer meeting underscored the administration’s belief in faith as a foundation for governance and development, especially at this milestone moment in the history of the Confluence State.

As Kogi State celebrates 35 years of creation, the prayer session stands as a strong expression of faith, gratitude and hope for a greater future.

Happy 35th Birthday, Kogi State!
May God continue to bless Kogi State, protect its people, strengthen its leaders and make the state greater, more peaceful and prosperous.
