Hon. Prince Oluwakayode Emmanuel Eseyin, popularly known as K12DNEXT OMO ‘ARA, has commended Hon. Leke Abejide for his intervention and sustained efforts toward the rehabilitation of the Kabba–Iyamoye Road, describing the initiative as a welcome example of patriotism, responsible representation and leadership that is firmly connected to the needs of the people.
Eseyin said the significance of the intervention goes beyond the road itself. For residents, traders, farmers, commuters and businesses along the corridor, better roads mean easier movement, stronger economic activity and improved access to neighbouring communities. In his view, that is what people-centred representation should look like.
“Leadership is not simply about holding political office or making promises. It is about seeing a problem, understanding its impact on ordinary people and doing something meaningful about it. The Kabba–Iyamoye Road intervention is a practical demonstration that our people and their welfare must remain at the heart of public service,” Eseyin said.
He also praised Abejide for his longstanding engagement in politics and his humanitarian work through the Leke Abejide Foundation, noting that his contributions have touched lives beyond the traditional boundaries of political office.
According to Eseyin, such a record deserves recognition because true statesmanship requires the ability to put community interest above partisan differences. He stressed that where an initiative brings relief and development to the people, responsible leaders should be willing to acknowledge and encourage it.
“Patriotism should rise above party lines. When a Nigerian takes action that improves the lives of citizens, strengthens communities and contributes to development, we should have the maturity to commend that effort. Politics should never make us blind to good works,” he added.
Eseyin further described Abejide as a patriot and emerging statesman whose political journey has been marked by resilience, service and a commitment to the people. He urged other elected representatives, political leaders and public-spirited Nigerians to embrace a culture of service rather than political rivalry.
“Our people need bridges, not barriers; solutions, not excuses; and statesmanship, not unnecessary political divisions. The true test of leadership is the positive difference we leave behind in the lives of the people we serve,” Eseyin said.
He congratulated Hon. Leke Abejide on the road rehabilitation effort and expressed optimism that the project would contribute to safer and easier transportation, stronger commercial activities and greater connectivity among Kabba, Iyamoye and surrounding communities.
Eseyin reaffirmed that patriotism is best expressed through service and that political leadership should ultimately be measured by its capacity to improve lives, strengthen communities and leave society better than it was found.
“PATRIOTISM IS BEST DEMONSTRATED THROUGH SERVICE.”
