Senator Sunday Karimi in Collaboration with “Win With Tinunu” Officially Announces the Commencement of Application intake for the Third Edition of the Student’s Bursary Award.
The Office of the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, the Distinguished Senator Sunday Karimi, is pleased to officially announce the commencement of application intake for this year’s third edition of the Students Bursary Award for students in public tertiary institutions within Nigeria.
The application link (https://portal.sundaykarimi.org/registration/) will be opened from Thursday, 20th August, 2026 to Sunday, 20th September, 2026.
This edition will disburse a total of Three Hundred Million Naira (N300,000,000) in bursary awards. It is part of Senator Sunday Karimi’s commitment, in collaboration with the “Win With Tinubu”, to support education and empower the youths and students of Kogi State in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
This bursary is designed to provide financial assistance to students, relieve pressure on their parents/guardians, and bring to the grassroots the practical “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
Eligibility and Guidelines:
1. Only indigenes of Kogi State who are students in Public Tertiary Institutions – Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics, and Colleges of Education are eligible to apply
2. Students in Private Higher Institutions are not eligible to apply.
3. Application is open to both Undergraduates and Postgraduates
4. Any student who fails to upload or fill out all required information in the application form will not be considered.
5. The portal officially opens by 12:00AM of 20th August, 2026
6. Only applications submitted online through the official link provided will be considered.
7. Only accounts with commercial banks will be accepted: First Bank, UBA, Fidelity Bank, Zenith Bank, Union Bank, Access Bank, Sterling Bank, Keystone Bank, etc. Accounts with mobile payment banks or Fintech companies such as Moniepoint, OPay, PalmPay, etc. will not be accepted.
8. Further details on the bursary process will be communicated through the official channels of the committee in charge of the initiative.
