SENATOR SUNDAY STEPHEN KARIMI’S 2027 MANDATE RENEWAL: WHEN HEAVEN SPEAKS

SENATOR SUNDAY STEPHEN KARIMI’S 2027 MANDATE RENEWAL: WHEN HEAVEN SPEAKS

By Musa Bakare

There are moments when the voice of a people rises above politics and becomes the echo of destiny.

There are seasons when Heaven itself appears to endorse a cause because justice has cried out for far too long.

Such moments cannot be manufactured by propaganda, purchased with money, or suppressed by intimidation. They are ordained by divine providence.

The overwhelming victory of Senator Sunday Stephen Karimi in the 2026 APC Senatorial Primary Election in Kogi State was one such defining moment.

It was not merely an electoral triumph; it was a resounding affirmation that when a leader faithfully defends the interests of his people, the people in turn become the guardians of his mandate.

In barely three years, Senator Karimi has distinguished himself as a worthy ambassador of Kogi West Senatorial District.

He has demonstrated that public office is not an avenue for personal glorification but a sacred trust for defending the dignity, aspirations, and future of the people.

Leadership is measured not by the number of political acrobats but by the courage to speak when justice demands a voice.

That courage was unmistakably displayed when Senator Karimi declared that Kogi West, since the creation of Kogi State in 1991 has never produced the Governor of the state and therefore deserves fairness, justice, and equity in the power equation ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

He offended no one by making that declaration on behalf of the people he is representing at the red chamber.

He merely articulated a historical fact and echoed the collective yearning of millions of true sons and daughters of Kogi West.

His words neither divided the state nor promoted hostility; they elevated the conversation to the noble principles upon which every democratic society ought to stand: justice, equity, and fairness.

What endeared him even more to us, his people was his refusal to sacrifice truth on the altar of personal political ambition.

Many politicians become prisoners of their own conscience and ambition, abandoning the cause of their people. Senator Karimi chose the opposite path.

He stood firmly with his people, defended their legitimate aspirations, and gave voice to a generation that has waited patiently for equitable inclusion in the governance of the State.

That singular act transformed him from being merely a senator into a symbol of hope for the people of Kogi West.

The overwhelming acceptance that greeted his victory at the primary election across the district proved beyond doubt that he spoke the minds of his constituents.

The love and solidarity he received were not orchestrated; they were spontaneous. His people saw in him a leader who understood that representation is first a covenant with the people before it becomes a political office.

The demand that Kogi West should produce the Governor of Kogi State in 2027 is not a demand for privilege; it is a demand for justice. It is an appeal to conscience, fairness, and the enduring principle that every component of the state deserves an opportunity to lead.

When Heaven speaks, human lies and conspiracies become powerless. When God ordains a path, no earthly force can obstruct it.

Senator Karimi’s overwhelming emergence at the primary election was a testimony that destiny cannot be vetoed by human calculations.

The same God who honoured truth with victory will continue to honour faithful service with greater responsibilities.

As the people of Kogi West prepare for the 2027 senatorial election, the choice before them is both political and moral.

It is a choice between continuity and uncertainty, proven representation and empty promises, courageous advocacy and timid silence.

Senator Sunday Stephen Karimi has earned the confidence of his constituents through commitment, accessibility, principled leadership, and unwavering defence of the collective interest of Kogi West.

Renewing his mandate is not merely rewarding an individual; it is preserving a voice that has consistently defended the district with conviction, wisdom, and courage.

Those who genuinely desire sustained progress, stronger representation, and an unrelenting defence of Kogi West’s collective aspirations and interests should overwhelmingly vote for Senator Karimi.

His renewed mandate will strengthen the district’s voice at the national level while reinforcing the quest for justice, equity, and fairness within Kogi State.

May the Almighty God, who orders the steps of righteous leaders, continue to guide, strengthen, protect, and preserve Senator Sunday Stephen Karimi, grant him divine wisdom, uncommon courage, and excellent health as he continues to serve the people faithfully through 2031 and beyond.
