Tunji Alausa Received Dr. Ocholi, thanks President Tinubu for Appointment Ocholi to Represent North Central Geopolitical Zone TETFUND
A newly appointed member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi, has commended President Bola Tinubu for his administration’s investments in education infrastructure following a courtesy visit to the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, in Abuja.
Ocholi, who was recently appointed to the TETFund Board to represent the North Central geopolitical zone, said the President’s commitment to strengthening tertiary education through sustained infrastructural development was transforming public institutions across the country.
He noted that under the Tinubu administration, universities, polytechnics and colleges of education had witnessed increased investment in classrooms, lecture theatres, laboratories, hostels, Innovation hubs, libraries and other critical facilities aimed at improving teaching, learning and research.
The newly appointed BOT member Representing North Central also pledged to support initiatives that would strengthen transparency, and effective monitoring of TETFund intervention projects to ensure value for public funds and improved educational outcomes.
Responding, the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, congratulated Dr. Ocholi on what he described as a well deserved appointment and thanked President Bola Tinubu for finding him worthy of serving on the TETFund Board of Trustees.
The minister described Dr. Ocholi as a committed and patriotic Nigerian whose dedication to national development earned him the confidence of the President to represent the entire North Central geopolitical zone on the Board.
He urged the new board member to sustain his high level of commitment to nation building and work diligently to advance the objectives of TETFund in improving the quality of tertiary education across the country.
The visit comes as the Federal Government continues to expand investments in higher education through TETFund. In recent months, the Tinubu administration has commissioned several TETFund funded projects in universities, polytechnics and colleges of education, while increasing intervention allocations to beneficiary institutions to improve infrastructure, research, innovation and digital learning.
