KOGI FORMER DEPUTY GOVERNOR CONDOLES ROTIMI AMAECHI OVER MOTHER’s DEATH

The former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba has consoled the former Governor of Rivers State, Rt Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi over the death of his mother, Mrs. Mary Amaechi.
Achuba, in a condolence message to the former governor and the Vice Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) described the passing of Amaechi’s mother as a painful loss to the former Governor’s family and the Rivers State as a whole.
Elder Achuba prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed, and encouraged Amaechi to take solace in the fact that his mother was a conscientious woman who led an exemplary life.
The former Kogi Deputy Governor’s message reads in part: “I feel sad about the news of the passing on of your beloved mother, who was well known for her kindness.
Mama was a leader, peace maker and special adviser to any one who came her way. She left at a time that the country needs her motherly advice most.
“Death is a necessary end, but the passing of a beloved one is always a painful experience. Even when God’s grace leads them to a ripe old age, their death elicits a discomforting feeling of loss that leaves grief in the heart of loved ones.
“Your mother led a life worthy of emulation, and contributed her quota to the growth of our society. Her legacies and memory will not be forgotten having nurtured her children, including you, to become accomplished and reputable citizens of our dear country.
While I extend my condolences to your family, I pray that God grants all of you the grace and courage to bear the loss. May mama’s soul rest in perfect peace.
The former Deputy Governor further urged the children of the late achiever to sustain her legacy and remain peaceful.
Elder Simon Achuba,
Former Deputy Governor of Kogi State and Kogi East leader of ADC
