By joshua ODODO’S SWIFT RESPONSE TO DEKINA ABDUCTION EXEMPLARY – GOV’S AIDE, CHIEF OBASI HAILS GOVERNOR
The Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Federal Projects Implementation, Hon. Chief Emmanuel Obasi, has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his swift and decisive action in securing the rescue of victims abducted at Government Secondary School, Olowa Agbajo, Dekina LGA.
Chief Obasi made the commendation on Friday shortly after the abducted Principal, Teacher, Student and NECO Official were presented to the Governor at the Government House, Lokoja.
Speaking to Nigerian Post Newspaper, he described Governor Ododo as “the most powerful Governor in Nigeria, who does what he says and says what he does.”
“If it were in some other states, they would probably be giving political excuses for why they could not act immediately. Some would say they were waiting for orders from above. Others would claim they were waiting for directives from the President,” Obasi said.
“But look at our action Governor at work. The moment the unfortunate news broke, he put everything else aside and immediately mobilised security agencies across the state to commence search-and-rescue operations. He demonstrated genuine concern and vowed to ensure the safe rescue of the abducted principal and students.”
The Special Adviser noted that in less than 24 hours, all the kidnapped victims were rescued alive.
“He who values the lives of others will have his own life preserved. Our God is not a liar. He has promised to bless those who stand with the downtrodden, the weak, the oppressed, and those held in captivity,” he added.
Chief Obasi concluded: “All hail His Excellency Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA. No other Governor can do this in 24 hours.”
The victims were abducted on Tuesday, 14th July, 2026, when gunmen attacked a purported NECO examination centre at the abandoned Government Secondary School, Olowa Agbajo. They were rescued alive on Thursday, 16th July, 2026, by joint security teams.
