A NEW DAWN OF PEACE: RECONCILIATION CONCLUDED BETWEEN PERISHABLE TRADERS ASSOCIATION AND HAUSA PERISHABLE TRADERS ASSOCIATION, KOGI STATE

With gratitude to Almighty Allah, the Most Merciful and the Giver of peace, I am pleased to announce that the long-awaited reconciliation between the Perishable Traders Association and the Hausa Perishable Traders Association, Kogi State, has been successfully concluded today.
The peace process was led by the Chief Consultant, International Market, Lokoja_, in full collaboration with the Market Traders Union and other respected Lokoja stakeholders. After hours of sincere dialogue, mutual understanding, and commitment to the progress of our market, both parties embraced one another with open hearts.
This reconciliation meeting was not only successful—it was historic. Both sides expressed genuine happiness, resolved all misunderstandings, and made a firm commitment to uphold peace, unity, and brotherhood in the Lokoja International Market and across Kogi State. From today forward, the spirit of cooperation, respect, and shared prosperity shall guide all trading activities.
On behalf of the Office of the Chief Consultant, I extend heartfelt appreciation to all dignitaries whose support, wisdom, and intervention made this peace possible:

May He grant HRH the Maigari of Lokoja long life, honour, and increased barakah on his throne.
May He strengthen the bond between all traders, remove hatred and discord, and replace it with trust, fairness, and mutual benefit.
May peace, progress, and Allah’s mercy continue to dwell in Lokoja International Market and every corner of Kogi State. Ameen.
Let this day, 24th June 2026, be remembered as the day we chose unity over division, and peace over conflict. Together, we will build a stronger market and a greater Kogi.
