Nigerians Urged to Live Selfless Lives as First Solid State Physicist Dr. Egene Adah Buried in Kogi
Individuals and organizations have been urged to live lives that leave behind a legacy worth emulating, as the late Dr. Moses Egene Adah was laid to rest in Ankpa, Kogi State.
The call was made by Pastor Arome Adah, Pastor-in-charge of Savannah Grace Church and first son of the deceased, during the burial and thanksgiving service held at the church premises.
Pastor Adah described his father as a man who impacted lives and brought out the best in others. He urged leaders and people in authority to emulate Dr. Adah’s selfless service to the nation.
“Dr. Egene Adah lived a life of impact. He was the first Solid State Physicist in Nigeria, a politician, and also served as commissioner in the then Kwara and Benue States,” he said.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Lawal Akus, member representing Ankpa I in the Kogi State House of Assembly, eulogized the late politician and stressed the need to preserve his legacy.
He commended the children of the deceased for their unity and urged them to uphold the educational, political, and cultural leadership values of their father.
Dr. Moses Egene Adah was also a member of the House of Representatives in 1983 and served as Commissioner for Works and Housing during the Murtala Mohammed regime in Kwara and Benue States.
He is survived by wives, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The burial ceremony attracted dignitaries from within and outside Nigeria, including diplomats, politicians, and well-meaning Nigerians. The remains of the First Solid State Physicist Dr. Egene Adah Buried in his compound, amidst tears of joy for a well fulfilled life.
