
Engr. Bashir Gegu Receives Opposition Defectors into APC in Tawari Ward, Kogi LGA

The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu, on Sunday received a group of opposition party members who formally defected to the All Progressives Congress in Tawari Ward, Kogi Local Government Area.

The defectors, while being welcomed by Engr. Gegu, pledged total loyalty to the APC and vowed to work assiduously for the party’s victory in all future elections.

They also affirmed their commitment to the leadership of Governor Usman Ododo at the state level and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the national level.

Speaking on behalf of the group, representatives of the defectors commended Gegu for his “impactful projects and visible footprints” across Kogi LGA, noting that his dedication to grassroots development influenced their decision to join the APC.
The new members expressed appreciation for Gegu’s leadership and promised to work with him to ensure the party’s success and deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of Tawari Ward and Kogi LGA.
In his remarks, Engr. Gegu thanked them for their “bold decision” and assured them of equal opportunities and full integration into the APC family.
