Kogi Community Honors ADC QS Aminu Abubakar
Suleiman with 2025 Distinguished Community Service Award
Lokoja — The Ogba Community of Mozum in Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State on Saturday recognized QS Aminu Abubakar
Suleiman, a leading aspirant for the Kogi East ADC Senatorial District, with the 2025 Distinguished Community Service Award (DCSA).
The award, instituted by the Ogba Community Development Union (OCDU), was presented during a well‑attended Merit Award ceremony and N100 million fundraising event for community development projects in Mozum.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo, represented by Hon. Alhassan Adakeke, former Majority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly and Secretary of the Kogi State Universal Basic Education Commission, described Aminu as a “politician worth following.” Governor Ododo was also honored with the title Grand Commander of Ogba Chiefdom.
Prof. Stephen I. Ocheni, former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, chaired the event and urged Nigerians, particularly those from Kogi East, to support the ADC senatorial aspirant, emphasizing that “development is not politics.”

Dr. Ishaq Dan‑Imam, PhD, President‑General of OCDU, and *Hon. (Prince) Mohammed Sulieman, Secretary‑General of OCDU, highlighted Aminu’s dedication to human‑capital development, community service, and humanitarian work across Nigeria, Kogi State, Mozum land, and the broader Ogba Community.
In his remarks, Mr. Abu Michael, Publisher of The Nigerian Post Newspaper, who represented Qs Aminu, called the award “well‑deserved,” praising the people of Kogi East for recognizing selfless service regardless of political affiliation. He urged continued support for QS Aminu until the general election.
The ceremony, held at the NUJ Press Centre in Lokoja, underscores Qs Aminu’s community’s commitment to honoring leaders who prioritize societal betterment.
