
Kogi Environment Commissioner Commiserates With Yagba West Over Security Losses

The Kogi Commissioner for Environment and Ecological Management, Engr Olusegun Joseph, has commiserated with the Government and people of Yagba West Local Government Area over the killings that occurred during Wednesday’s attack in the area.
The commissioner, in a statement issued on Thursday in Lokoja, described the incident as tragic and unfortunate, noting that the loss of gallant security personnel and innocent citizens was a huge blow to the state.
He urged the bereaved families to take solace in the fact that their loved ones paid the supreme price in service to humanity and the protection of their communities.
While condemning the criminal acts, the commissioner assured that the Kogi State Government would continue to support security agencies in their efforts to track down the perpetrators and strengthen safety across the state.
He commended the people of Yagba West for maintaining relative calm in spite of the painful incident and appealed to residents to continue to cooperate with government and security agencies by providing credible intelligence that would help avert further attacks.
The commissioner prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and reaffirmed government’s commitment to ensuring that peace and security prevail in every part of Kogi State.
