The outstanding tributes and commendations showered on the immediate past Kogi State Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr. Abubakar Ohere on his 56th birthday by high profile personalities within and outside Kogi State, has once again confirmed that his choice by Gov. Yahaya Bello as Commissioner in two separate Ministry’s and his emergence as flagbearer of the APC in Kogi Central Senatorial District is a decision taken in good faith and not a mistake.
The encomiums showed on Engr. Ohere coming at this crucial period of electioneering when they people are expected to make informed decision is not what should be taken for granted.
Engr. Ohere for many who have crossed his paths is a man sold out to selfless sacrifices and service, reason why, considered to have a midas touch, everything that crosses his paths ends up being a success.
Though the Senatorial District election would not come till February. For many if what a man sows is what he would reap, the harvest for Engr Ohere is an overwhelming victory as opined by majority of Kogi Central citizens.
For many who know Chief Edward Onoja to be one person who is economical with words in passing commendation when the right thing is not done, he described the former Commissioner as a quintessential leader, one who has distinguished himself having served the state meritoriously in several capacities calls for sober reflections.
He added that Engr Ohere played significant roles in the growth and development of the State under Gov. Bello, expressed optimism that Engr. Ohere’s ideals of uncommon patriotism over the years would spur him to do even more for his people as Senator representing Kogi Central District by the grace of God.
Also in a message of felicitations copied Newsmen, Asiwaju Asiru Idris, Kogi State Finance Commissioner expressed satisfaction that Engr. Ohere as Commissioner, left his indelible footprints on the sands of time.
He particularly praised his efforts in assisting with the realization of the infrastructure development in the State as Commissioner for Works and Housing, described his tenure as meritoriously rewarding in all the areas he served.
The Finance Commissioner says he looks forward to an overwhelming victory for the APC in Kogi Central in the forthcoming general election, expressed optimism that as a man of the people, Engr. Ohere would emerge victorious.
For the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Mathew Kolawole, described Engr. Ohere as a reputable engineer, seasoned Administrator, an outstanding philanthropist, astute politician, said his outstanding performances has endeared him not only to his people of the Central Senatorial district, reason he was given the APC mandate to contest the next general elections expressed optimism that by the grace of God, he will win, said his love across the state remains unquantifiable.
