50th Birthday: Ayoo, Draughts Championship In Honour of Hon. Leke Abejide Splashes Cash Prizes On Winners in Lokoja.
… As Mr. Alex Babalola Describes the Lawmaker as a phenomenal politician.
As part of efforts to celebrate the 50th Birthday Anniversary Hon. Leke Abejide, Member Representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representative an Ayoo and draught championship was organized by Mr. Alex Babalola in his honour in Lokoja.
Mr. Alex Babalola, the organiser of the Championship, described Hon. Leke as a phenomenal politician, said his kind has not emerged in the politics of the State, with Yagba Federal Constituency in particular.
The organizer showed glowing tribute on the Lawmaker, pointing out that as a man who has proven that his representation is about the people, the vulnerable in particular, he has decided to bring the championship to relate with those the Lawmaker is passionate about.
The winners carted home prizes ranging from; Ayoo game winner went home with N20,000 while the second prize winner had N15,000 and the
3rd prize winner N7,500.
Same was for the Draught Championship;
1st prize N20,000,
2nd Prize N15000,
3rd N7,500.
Presenting dummy cheques to the winners, Comr. Shola Adegbola Samuel, Director General, Leke Abejide Foundation, described Hon. Leke Abejide as a quintessential politician, very rare to find in the Country.
He expressed his gratitude to Mr. Alex for knowing the heart of the Lawmaker, who he described as a masses oriented politician.
He urged the winners to look beyond the amount, emulate Hon. Leke Abejide who cares about the needy.
In their separate remarks, the winners praised Hon Leke Abejide, prayed for him as many times he desires to contest to continue to serve the people.
