32 GROUP LEADERS FROM ACROSS THE 21 LGA IN KOGI STATE, ENDORSED ALH. ABUBAKAR IBRAHIM IDRIS


The Heads of the 32 notable groups under the theme: *”ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”* have once again strengthened their common loyalty and regards for the PDP by coming together under the large umbrella of our party from across the 21 LGA in Kogi state to endorse  Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris as the politically friendly party-man in our dear state.

 

The groups have converged at the Lurgard Beach Hotel Lokoja today being September 31, 2022 to declare supports for Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim Idris (AbuIbro). They vowed to draw absolute supports for the landslide victory of AbuIbro from across their various domains during the governorship race of 2023.

The theme of the meeting centered on ” *Enough is Enough* via which ” they had sent a strong message to the leaderships of our dear party, PDP; that they cannot afford to make another collateral political damage during the upcoming governorship election of 2023. In their statements, it was said that every right thinking KOGITES is aware that the capacity of winning the coming election in Kogi State, remains with the person of AbuIbro.

Notable among the group leaders who spoke during the meeting was Hon. Samson Ojojadu Endurance who is currently the head of Unity Club Omala. He reiterated that the party having gone through the last primaries, will not want to gamble this time around with any candidate that will make victory difficult for the party during governorship election of 2023. Hon. Samson also stated that, the good-will, records of achievements and the capacity of the former governor of Kogi State, Alh. Ibrahim Idris are enough to lead the party to victory during the upcoming elections. He therefore pointed out that the party should not give room for mediocrity to endanger the chances of our party come 2023.

Hon. Odi Emmanuel Kehinde of Isayin Afa Progressive Forum of Ogorimagongo LGA also spoke extensively on those who are busy spreading the rumours that the former governor; Alh. Ibrahim Idris is not willing to support his son; to in their interests distance themselves from such unprofitable political trading. He also said that “thank God the reverse is the case now, otherwise the group would have marched to Abuja to make the former governor, Alh. Ibrahim Idris see the need why he should release and support, Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim for the liberation of the people of Kogi State who have suffered untold hardships under the current APC clueless administration.

Mrs. Barikisu Adejetu of Itiafa Social Club aligned herself with Hon. Odi Kehinde. She has stated in her assertion that, they are ready to drum supports and mobilize other groups for the actualization of the ground-breaking emergence of Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim as the next candidate of the PDP come 2023. She also prayed for long life and good health of the former governor of Kogi State Alh. Ibrahim Idris so as to be able to steer the party to victory come 2023.

Hon. Olukpe Adesina who spoke on-behalf of all the group leaders present at the meeting from Kogi West, said there is no going back on the course of  Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim on becoming the next governorship candidate of the party ( PDP). He said they are all ready to sail the ship of Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim Idris to victory during the upcoming governorship election in Kogi State. He also pointed out that a detribalized gentleman like Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim is what the state needs at this critical moment. Someone who is not only an Igala man from the east but also got married to Ebira woman from the central.

Hajia Kadijat Ozoveihe Idris vowed that her group will mobilize every other women groups in Kogi Central to support their sister and in-law ( Barr. Rekiya Abubakar Ibrahim). She said if the governor will be leaving Kogi Central at least they should lay their hands on first lady, this will bring a good working relationship between the central and eastern flank of the state. Unlike what happened in the last general election where a candidate of the party from the east was deprived of his campaign right in the central and thereby jeoparding the party’s chances of winning during the 2019 general election.

Hon. Umar Hassan the convener of the meeting thanked all participants who deemed it fit to honouring the invitation. He also called on all PDP members across the state to do the needful in ensuring they all support, Alh. Abubakar Ibrahim Idris in the fort-coming election.
