30 YEARS ON THE THRONE: FUL VC, Prof. Akinwumi Felicitates with Maigari of Lokoja, Says He is a Pillar of Support


 

The Vice Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi has felicitated with the Maigari of Lokoja and Chairman, Lokoja Local Government Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi III, OON, on the auspicious occasion of his 30th Anniversary of his ascension to the exalted throne of his fathers.

 

In a congratulatory message, the Vice-Chancellor said he was highly delighted to identify with the revered traditional ruler, describing him as an epitome of wisdom, sincerity and uprightness. He also commended the royal father for his genuine love, commitment and total dedication to the welfare of his subjects, the good people of Lokoja, which has brought great honour to the Lokoja Emirate and developments to the Confluence City.

“I want to affirm that His Royal Majesty, over this past one year of my Administration, has been a great pillar of support, his wise counsel and prayers have given us strength and inspiration, leading us into a sure path of greatness for our dear University.”

“The Maigari of Lokoja has not only shown full support and total commitment to the progress of Federal University Lokoja, but has also demonstrated his fatherly role by providing us with the needed guidance and royal blessings at all times, while giving us unhindered access to his Palace.”

“I, therefore, on behalf of the Management, Staff and Students of Federal University Lokoja, heartily congratulate Your Royal Majesty and the entire Emirate on this historic day of your 30th Anniversary as the Maigari of Lokoja.”
