The Senator Representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sunday Karimi has been described as most deserving to have a second term.

According to Hon. Idris Abubakar Lokoja, the All Progressives Congress Chieftain from Lokoja LGA, in a statement issued to Newsmen, said Sen. Karimi has met the yearning and aspirations of the people of Kogi West in effective representation on the floor of the Senate and in attracting infrastructure.

Hon. Idris mentioned the remodeling of Government Secondary School, Koton Karfe at the cost of N1.2b as unprecedented in representation over the years in Kogi West

He added that the Senator has facilitated the sinking and rehabilitation of about 150 boreholes across Kogi West geared towards providing portable water to constituents as heart warming.

Similarly, Sen. Karimi according to Hon. Idris has lightened over 62 communities with solar lights across the seven LGAs of Kogi West.

He further praised the Senator for the distribution of over 32 transformers as well as rehabilitation of others for the people as a rare feet .

Sen. Karimi he further add has built a 300 capacity Computer Based Centre at Titcombe College Egbe.

While noting that the Senator has been in the Forefront for the completion of Kabba – Egbe road, a project the Senator he disclosed lobbied close to about N10b to fix, towards ameliorating the suffering of the people and motorists.

He added that in 2024, Sen. Karimi gave out students bursary to 1000 tertiary institution students, described as unusual that another N300m has been set aside for bursary for tertiary institution students across the State.

Hon. Idris who said never in the history of representation in Kogi West have the people enjoy dividends of democracy like is being witnessed, commended the Senator for his N100m Women empowerment program.

As intervention, Sen. Karimi has provided truck loads of palliative like Rice, Semovita, Rams and Cows during festive and Ramadan period for Christians and Muslims.

While noting that the people of Lokoja have never been made a top priority in all the Senate representation like Sen. Karimi is presently doing, mentioned construction of a health care centre in Kakanda, Construction as well as the furnishing of classrooms with desks.

He praised the foresight of Sen. Karimi who he said built with personal resources a forward Military base at Egbe, a project close to a billion Naira as Commendable.

Furthermore, Hon. Idris disclosed that at the last count, Sen. Karimi has secured over 34 pensionable appointment in the Civil Service and paramilitary for his constituents’.

Hon. Idris explained that when it was the turn of Lokoja Koto, they spent 8 years, with Kabba Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency spending 16 years, said since this is the first time for Yagba Federal Constituency to be in the Senate before returning to Lokoja Kogi Federal Constituency.

Hon. Idris Lokoja lauded Senator Karimi for making the West proud in representation, insisting that all options considered, Sen. Karimi is deserving of a second term.
