2027: KARIMI THANKS KOGI WEST, PLEDGES MORE INFRASTRUCTURE, SECURITY AND WELFARE

The Chairman, Senate Services Committee, Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, has received official acknowledgment from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, confirming him as the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Kogi West Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In an appreciation message to the people of Kogi West on Friday, Senator Karimi described the recognition as a collective victory.
“This milestone is not a personal triumph; it belongs entirely to all of us—including our valued non-APC members who believe in our shared future,” he said.

The Senator expressed gratitude to constituents for their “steadfast trust, solidarity, and unmatched support,” and called for reconciliation across political lines.

“This is a defining moment for our district. It is time for rebuilding relationships and locking arms as a formidable, unified force. I am a leader for everyone. I stand ready to work with everybody, without bias or exception,” Karimi stated.
He urged stakeholders and former competitors to join hands with him to secure victory for the President and all APC candidates in 2027.

Senator Karimi reaffirmed his commitment to campaign promises centered on infrastructure, security and welfare. Key focus areas include:

Continued collaboration with security agencies to deploy forces to vulnerable communities.
Critical Infrastructure: Direct financial interventions and lobbying for the rehabilitation of vital federal roads in Kogi West.
3. Welfare & Education Empowerment. Sustaining annual student bursaries, community healthcare interventions, and small business support funds.

“Together, under the banner of the *#RenewedHope agenda*, we will take Kogi West to greater heights of prosperity, equity, and national relevance,” he added.

The Senator concluded with prayers for Kogi West, Kogi State and Nigeria.
