2027: EVERY KOGITES WITH CONSCIENCE AND FAITH SHOULD SUPPORT KOGI WEST

Politics at its best is about justice, fairness, and the common good. When it loses its moral compass, we all suffer. In Kogi State today, the push for the next governor to come from Kogi West is not about favoritism or politics, it is about fairness, balance, and doing what is right.
Since Kogi State was created in 1991, power has been between the other two senatorial districts. Kogi West has been left out for over 30 years despite showing loyalty and commitment to the state’s unity and progress. This is not fair and goes against democratic values.
As Kogites with conscience, we have to ask ourselves: can peace last if fairness is ignored? How would you feel if your area was always second choice? Equity is not a favor, it is a right. Delaying justice in political representation only causes frustration and hurts progress. The call for Kogi West to produce the next governor in 2028 is fair and long overdue.
For those who believe in God, leadership is a sacred trust. Justice is key to divine approval. History and faith tell us that societies that ignore fairness risk instability. Supporting Kogi West now shows moral courage and a commitment to what is right for Kogi State.
Kogi West also has the talent to lead. The district has experienced leaders, professionals, and grassroots politicians who have succeeded locally, nationally, and internationally. Denying them the chance to lead is not just unfair, it is a loss for the state.
Giving Kogi West this chance will heal old wounds, unite the state, and prove that every zone matters. It shows that no part of Kogi is meant to be left out. Fair power sharing builds trust, and trust drives progress.
Supporting Kogi West does not hurt any other zone. It reassures everyone that power can rotate peacefully and fairly. Across Nigeria, states that manage power sharing well enjoy more peace and development.
By 2027, Kogi Central will have governed for 16. 4 years in Kwara state and now 12 years in Kogi state, with Kogi East also holding power for 16. The time for fairness is now.
Kogi State faces a choice: continue exclusion or embrace justice and unity. This decision will shape the future.
Every Kogite who values fairness, unity, faith with the required dosage of conscience should support Kogi West for governor. This is not just about politics, it is about what Kogi State stands for: fairness, diversity, justice and fear of God.
History is watching. Conscience is calling. The time for Kogi West is now.
