The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Oredo West Constituency seat in the Edo State House of Assembly in the 2027 general election, Amb. Dr. Peter Ovbokhan Orobo, has described the forthcoming election as a referendum that offers Nigerians the opportunity to make a decisive choice on leadership and governance.

Amb. Dr. Orobo, who is also the Founder and President of the Orobo Foundation, stated that the 2027 general elections would give citizens across the country the chance to choose between good and bad governance, impunity and the rule of law, as well as leadership that perpetuates poverty and one that promotes prosperity through people-oriented policies.

The Oredo West House of Assembly hopeful urged Nigerians to seize the opportunity presented by the 2027 elections to elect credible, competent, and result-oriented leaders. He also called on voters to replace non-performing representatives with tested and trusted individuals who have demonstrated the capacity to deliver quality public service through their private and community engagements.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Jinglesbwlls explained that his decision to contest for the Oredo West Constituency seat came after previously declining several calls to seek elective office. According to him, serving as an elected representative would place him in a better position to positively impact the lives of the people and contribute more effectively to the development of his constituency.

Speaking on his candidacy, Amb. Dr. Orobo noted that he has consistently touched lives through his personal resources, community service, humanitarian interventions, and job creation initiatives that have benefited many Edo State indigenes. He maintained that his track record of service and commitment to humanity makes him a strong contender in the 2027 Oredo West Constituency election.

He further emphasized that his active membership of several Edo State socio-cultural organizations, coupled with his contributions to the growth and development of Edo indigenes both at home and in the diaspora, provides a solid foundation for the overwhelming support he expects from the electorate.

Highlighting his legislative priorities, Amb. Dr. Orobo said he would champion bills and motions aimed at improving infrastructure, particularly road networks, strengthening the healthcare system, enhancing the quality of primary and secondary education, improving the security of lives and property, and promoting youth and women empowerment through sustainable skills acquisition and entrepreneurship programmes.
