2025 Eid-el-Kabir ; Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA Felicitates Muslim faithfuls, Preaches Love and Unity amongst Kogites
The Kogi State Commissioner For Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, has sent his message of felicitations to Muslim faithfuls to commemorate the Celebration of Eld el Kabir, where he preaches love, reconciliation, sacrifice and unity amongst kogites.
The Honourable Commissioner, in a message released to Newsmen through his media assistant, called for reconciliation, peaceful co-existence amongst the people, as well as sacrifice to reflect on the lessons of the sacred season.
Similarly, he urged citizens to imbibe the teachings of the doctrine of Islamic faith, which was premised on sacrifice and peace.
The Commissioner called on Kogites and Nigerians at large to “live in peace, love and eschew all forms of violence, strife, insecurity, corruption, indiscipline, disrespect for constituted authority, and all forms of criminality and social vices.
In his words “All Kogites must love one another and the state. At all times, we should put the state and nation first before self. As we have no other state or nation which we can rightly call our own.
“It’s therefore behoves us all to join hands with the administration of the chief servant, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA to move the State forward and actualize the dreams of the founding fathers of our dear state in our lifetime.”
Asiwaju congratulated Muslim faithfuls, especially those residents in Kogi west as they mark this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, specifically recalled the story of Prophet Ibrahim’s attempt to sacrifice his only son, which culminated into the celebration of Eid-al-Adha to commemorate his (Ibrahim or Abraham) willingness to follow Allah’s (God’s) command to sacrifice his son.
Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA appealed for greater unity, love, and peaceful co-existence among Kogites as well as total support for the State Government as it strives to improve their well being and develop the land.
He, however, emphasised that the occasion should be used to engender love and foster unity by making exemplified sacrifice amongst all in the spirit of the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim culminating into the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir
The Commissioner congratulated the State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his people centric leadership that’s focused on improving the wellbeing of all kogites and her inhabitants, through infrastructural development, improvement in the economy and initiative geared towards bridging inequality in the state.
Let continue to pray for our leaders in their passionate quest to raise the bar of good governance and make the state a cynosure of all other federating units.
