The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Bashiru Gegu has urged Nigerians, Kogites, particularly people of Kogi LGA to be hopeful and to continue to live in peace and harmony.
He also charged the people of Kogi LGA to remain hopeful of greater prosperity that would be recorded in the State and Kogi LGA in particular.
The Commissioner stated this in his New Year message, assuring that because the present administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo will continue to tackle the challenges facing the State as a whole.
“I wish every Kogite, particularly people of Kogi LGA a Happy and Prosperous New Year. We are thankful to God for the grace to see the New Year and we welcome 2025 with hope and faith. 2024 was a year of great strides for us in Kogi State. It was indeed a significant year for the Gov. Ododo’s administration.
“We are happy and grateful to the people of the State, particularly citizens of Kogi LGA for their support for Gov. Ododo and the APC led administration in 2024.
” Be rest assured that the administration will not disappoint you. I want to assure people of Kogi LGA that 2025 is the year to deliver more good governance and dividends of democracy that will impact on the well-being of the people.
Engr. Bashiru promised to continue to provide leadership that will usher in greater opportunities and a more prosperous life for the people of Kogi LGA.
“I will work for Kogi LGA better in this new year in attracting developments across the identified areas of needs of our people,” the Commissioner added.
