2024 Kogi Governorship: It is turn of Kogi West – President, Okun Rebirth Group

Comr. Olonikadi Austin Dare, President, Okun Rebirth Group, has described those who are hiding under the aegis of a group named Kogi West Vision Initiative as expressed in a billboard for the Central Senatorial District to complete its tenure for another eight years as madness and satanic.

Comr. Olonikadi says while it is disassociating itself from the laughable and unjustified demand, condemn in its entirety the shallow attempt to place the interest of some individuals and groups above that of the State, particularly Kogi West.

The Okun Rebirth Group, says 2023 remains the turn of Kogi West, warned against attempt by people who are not from Kogi West but impersonating the good people of the district who are resolute that no regiment of Army would stop Kogi West from producing the next Senate to be careful.

The Okun Rebirth Group described the 16 years of Kogi East, Eight years of Kogi Central at the expiration of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and Zero years of Kogi West as shown in the 16-8-0 formula as unjust, unequal and unfair, urged the people of central not to create disaffection they have always fought against.

The Okun Rebirth Group called on Gov. Yahaya Bello to write his name in gold and not to be allowed to be dragged into the madness by some persons who do not mean well for the State.

The Okun Rebirth Group cautioned against any additional 8 years for the Central, said it would amount to the people of Central entrenching same lopsidedness against the people of the West who over the years have jointly complained about marginalization prior to 2015.

The group says in the interest of justice, equity and fairness, called on Gov. Yahaya Bello to write his name in gold by allowing power to shift to the people of Kogi West in 2023.

The group said all persons from Kogi West are united in the struggle for Kogi West Governorship, said no reasonable person or group will ever see the cause of a problem and put forward the same as the solution.

While it reiterates its position for Justice, Equity and Fairness the group says the next Kogi State Governor must be from Kogi West.
