As preparation for the 2023 general elections gets more intensive and political parties that are to field candidates for different public offices prepare for their respective primary elections, youths and comrades alike have decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign to support Julius Olushola Abel (Ontop), vying under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to contest for Member Representing Mopamuro Constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly.
Comrade Alex Agaji, convener of the crowdfunding campaign said that Ontop represents the interest of every common man, he noted that he was expressing the wish of average Nigerian youth and that the youths are ready to rally support and give him all the needed support, especially financial support, owing to how expensive political contest has gone in Nigeria.
Agaji also added that supporting Ontop to win in the assembly contest is the only way power can be decentralized from the two ruling parties in Kogi State.
“Watching Ontop closely for a while now, he has always displayed uncommon qualities of Comrade and not a “come and raid” kind of Comrade, he has paid is due and earns our support, I must say”.
“I am in touch with several Comrades all over Nigeria, and they are ready to give every necessary support to actualize the dream of every common man, by making sure Ontop gets there We seek your support and prayers” he said.
