The state chairman of the Because of Our Tomorrow (BOOT) Party in Edo State and Edo North Senatorial candidate, Osiriame Edeipo has said that his party will change the narrative of the Nation’s political economy with particular reference to Edo North Senatorial district of Edo state where he is expected to lock horns with the sitting Senator Francis Alimikhena of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, the former governor of the state, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
Mr Osiriame Edeipo who made this assertion in Benin City while interfacing with newsmen said “the twin party, APC & PDP have, over the years contributed to the crisis facing the country today. The fact states that these parties and their men have contributed, in no small measure to our current woes and should not be compensated for this by electing them into office again.
“They have failed the people since the country returned to democratic rule in 1999 and a new party like the BOOT is the alternative for Nigerians to consider.
“If you check our blueprint, we have our plan on how to tackle power (electricity) and if power is tackled more than 50 per cent or our problem will fizzle out.”
According to him, “We have our plans, and always remember that the size of the dog is not what counts in a fight but the size of the fight in the dog.
” They may seem to have all the money but we have the people, our templates and in the few days to come or so, they will be surprised with what will hit them.
“It will interest you to know that we, as patriotic Nigerians, have seen, many years ago, the current crisis that plagues the country to which we have offered solutions to
“Our people get to power but they don’t think. Imagine Nigeria has to wait for the Russian – Ukraine war, to break even, if not, we would have been getting to a point where our oil was becoming useless because our people refuse to think of alternative sources of survival outside oil.
“Nigerians should, as a matter of urgency, take back our nation from these Hawks”. He enjoined the electorates in his Edo North Senatorial District to invest their votes in his candidacy, to reposition and redirect our collective destiny
