The Coalition of Kogi West Youths have said they will not be deceived by the antics of Sen. Smart Adeyemi towards returning to the tenth Senate and for the fourth time in 2023.
The group in a press statement signed by Gbadebo Adolphus, said they are not carried away with the story of the Senator making the rounds that if elected in 2023, he stands the chance of becoming the Senate President.
The group noted that while the tenth Senate has not been constituted in the APC, said it would be foolhardy to know who becomes the Senate President and those that would even be in the Senate for the Senator to begin to eye the Senate President.
The group lamented that it is unfortunate that the Senator is not loyal to Gov. Yahaya Bello’s aspiration in becoming the President of the Country, lamented that if he believed in the aspiration, it would be foolhardy to think that the President and Senate President would come from the same geopolitical zone in 2023.
The group lamented that after serving in the Senate for twelve years and his brother Sen. Dino Melaye for another four years from the same local government, find it laughable and thinks that he would fool the people again in 2023.
The group said in the statement that they would this time around in 2023 join hands to flush out the Senator from making a return, described his ambition as not one in the interest of the people.
