The 2023 general election in Nigeria is fast approaching, understandably, Nigerians are responding to it from all perspectives of their aspirations and entitlements.
Several political aspirants from all sides of political divides have signified their aspirations and interest to contest for one elective position or the other.
Much as they all have the constitutional rights to aspire for any position in the land, it becomes imperative and realistic that not all will be elected to the office.
Also, the reality on the ground and the present precarious state of the nation calls for a very serious urgency in addressing the daunting challenges that have almost undermined the collective fiber of our national existence.
The situation calls for a pragmatic and inclusive leadership that will address the challenges in the country, restore confidence and build bridges of renewal and march to progress and greatness. To fail to address these challenges is to help speed up the nation’s march to a failed state and irreversible and catastrophic disintegration of Nigeria.
As the All-Progressive Congress Presidential primary has come and gone and the party elected Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Presidential flagbearer, it now behooves on all of us to work for the eventual victory and enthronement of our party flagbearer. The challenges facing the nation toady requires a winning team, that has the character, competence and capacity to deliver and turn around the fortune of the state for good.
We thus need to reduce emphasis on religion and work to build and sustain our nation and its democratic evolution. To refuse to do so is to consign our nation to underdevelopment and huge setbacks that might be difficult to recover for years to come.Hence the need to all work for the Tinubu-Shettima joint ticket in the forth coming Presidential election in 2023.Tinubu is visionary, innovative, competent, and very knowledgeable about the working of the system to be able to effectively be in charge and make the desired differences in the shortest possible time.
He is a man who has positively impacted society as a result of years of selfless sacrifice and self-denials. His track record of qualitative leadership and good governance contributed in no small measures to turning Lagos around for good, making it Africa’s most preferred investment destination. His leadership practically exemplifies the drive for national unity and cohesiveness by promoting inclusive governance and managing our complex diversity for national prosperity.
He remains a worthy role model and a robust mentor, who had empowered many and built-up young men and women who are holding leadership positions today. It thus become imperative that we collectively work for the aspirations of this winning ticket.
As the prevailing political permutation favours his choice as the next President in 2023, we must also ensure that his sacrifices to entrench democratic governance in the country is fully rewarded through a deserved victory.
A nation in dire need for infrastructural development must elect a man that has been trusted to have delivered and done so well in those aspects and other areas of the economy while he served as the Executive Governor of Lagos state.
A man that has the capacity to generate and improved the internally generated revenue of state like Lagos has the capacity to turn around the weakening national economy.We need to choose wise and well, we need to be pragmatic as to take decision that will go a long way to affect the future of the country, hence the imperative of the Tinubu-Shettima joint presidential ticket for the 2023 presidential elections.
