The Kogi State Coordinator of Nigeria Youths Democratic Party, Comr. Abubakar Hassan, says the movement which has applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Corporate Affairs Commission for registration would take over Government at all levels in the next dispensation.
Comr. Abubakar Hassan spoke with confidence and optimism at a meeting of the movement in Lokoja today, lamented that the movement is a product of Failed leadership of the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party over the years.
Comr Hassan says enough is enough, vowed that the youths having realized that their future has been mortgage, has come under the NYDP platform to form a movement that would see youths contesting and winning elections at all levels in 2023.
He Particularly vowed that the NYDP will take over Kogi State in the next dispensation, assured that the days when Party nomination forms are sold at exorbitant prices and above the reach of young people has come to an end with the emergence of NYDP.
The Coordinator assured that under an NYDP Government, Agriculture, Education, Empowerment of the youths to be self reliant would take the centre stage, said the youths of Nigeria are tired of being use as political thugs during elections.
He described Nigeria as a country with vibrant Youth population, but lamented that over the years political parties have used outrageous amount for the purchase of nomination forms to alienate youths from politics.
He maintained that NYDP has come to stay and to change the negative narratives of bad leadership by putting an end to money politics and the use of violence using thugs to win elections.
While pointing out that the former parties that have ruled and are still governing the country have disappointed the youths, said the NYDP, the fastest movement in Nigeria, offers opportunity for youths to come together and take their destiny in their hands.
He Particularly called on the youths in Kogi State to come together, under the NYDP, be united and for the interest of the State and country, so that come 2023, their liberation would be achieved.
He concluded by saying that Kogi State Youths are tired of being used for political violence as thugs, assured that NYDP would change and Clean the system for the betterment of the Youths and for development.
The NYDP meeting which was the maiden meeting attracted delegates from the twenty one Local Government and from other states, the State Coordinator disclosed marks the turning point for the take over of the State and Nigeria in 2023.
