… Those pulling down billboards are scared of my popularity, acceptance
Otunba Adeniyi Olayemi. So’mi Edumare, Kogi West Frontline Peoples Democratic Party Aspirant says he remains focus and will not trade quality representation with intimidation and the pulling down of some of his billboards in Lokoja.
Speaking with Thenigerianpost, the PDP Aspirant says his popularity and acceptance by the people is already sending fears into the minds of the opponents.
He assured that he represents change and the people have come to identify him as the quality representation they desired, appealed for calm and caution ahead the 2023 general election.
Also speaking, Prince Jambright Sumonu, DG Campaign, Otunba Adeniyi Olayemi. So’mi Edumare Organization, described the rising profile and popularity of his candidate as a source of worry for the opponents.
He however says the Organization remains committed to winning and offering quality representation to the people of Kogi West Senatorial District come 2023, assured that God will certainly do what he will do inspite the intimidation.
Recalled that a campaign billboard belonging to Chief Otunba Adeniyi Olayemi, a Frontline People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Senatorial aspirant of the Kogi Western Senatorial District was destroyed in Lokoja.
It was gathered that the billboard bearing the image and inscription of Olayemi mounted in Kabawa area was destroyed by yet-to-be identified persons who are believed to be political thugs.
Confirming the incident on Friday, Musa Dauda, a cheiftain of the PDP in Ward E, said he was still in shock over the development.
He said, “It is true. We woke up on Friday to discover that the billboard bearing Otunba Adeniyi Olayemi’s image has been vandalized. We are still in shock.”
