2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS:WHY I SEEK ELECTION TO REPRESENTS KEBBI- SOUTH IN THE SENATE- Maidoki


 

The People’s Democratic party, (PDP) Candidate for the Kebbi South Senatorial district in the February 25,2023 National assembly elections,Garba Musa Maidoki, has Stated that his decision to Contest for the Kebbi South Senatorial district election was informed by his Patriotic Zeal, his Craving for a better Nigeria and his passion to provide adequate and functional representation for the good people of Kebbi South Senatorial district.

Maidoki noted that, over the years the people of Kebbi South has not gotten the needed representation at the national assembly,as most of the Challenges bedeviling the People still remain unsolved, pointing out that, if elected he would provide roburst representation that will Change the Negative Narratives of the Senatorial district by giving meaning to the live of his people.

The Senatorial Candidate further maintained that,he had never planned to go in to partisan politics in his entire live, as he was less than 10 Months Since his foray into politics, but that he was pained by the poor state of infrastructure in Kebbi South Senatorial district, particularly, the road linking Zuru nation which has Collapse Completely,Cutting off the people from the rest of the world according to him, Stressing that, Zuru, as an agrarian nation that produces agricultural products to a Sizeable population of Nigeria and even other neighboring Countries lack access road Currently, a development that has brought untold hardship on the people of the Zuru nation, even as Commercial activities has also paralyzed,he bemoaned.

Explaining further,Garba Musa Maidoki said, another sorrowful and agonizing situation faced by his people was the state of insecurity, that has ravaged the Kebbi South Senatorial district, banditry, kidnapping and Cattle rustling has become a norm, over 50 Communities in Zuru nation displaced, lamenting that, in the face of all this,no single internally displaced persons Camp, (IDP) was registered by either the state or federal government, Saying that all the victims of this scourge were left alone to cater for themselves, without any assistance from official quarters of governments, not to mention the over a billion naira some individuals and Communities have paid as ransom to the perpetrators of this crime that has made their lives miserable.
He alledged that even the members of the National assembly from the area Could not speak for the people, describing the Situation as quite unfortunate.

Continuing,Garba Musa Maidok said, after a successful civil service career,he had never contemplated joining partisan politics, but however rescind his decision after realizing that, there was need for upright and Selfless individuals to be elected either as Chief executive or legislator.

Hear him,” I have come to realize that,if good people don’t come into politics our Country is finished,I am not into politics to enrich myself, honestly, the cost of Contesting election in Nigeria is so enormous, except person with a large heart,it will be difficult to go into any Electoral contest win and deliver dividend of democracy to the people.”

The Senatorial Candidate said they have sensitised their people to eschew money Politics, to stop selling their vote for stipends.

Garba Musa Maidoki who disclosed this to the media at his Zuru residence Shortly, after casting his vote in the February 25,2023 presidential and National assembly elections, also Commended the independent National electoral Commission, (INEC)
for the deployments of technology in the Conduct of the elections,he urged the people to be patient as every new innovation has it own Challenges at the early stage.he however lamented a situation where a lot of persons could not ascertain their polling unit due to some mix-up which he blamed on INEC.

He called on the independent National electoral Commission, (INEC) to ensure a free, fair and credible elections, whose verdict will be acceptable by all, stressing that as far as the people are allowed to determine who lead them by ensuring vote Counts,we shall be ready to congratulate whosoever that wins and possibly give our suggestions on how to move our land forward.
