2023 GENERAL ELECTION: CP Yekini A. Ayoku, mni commends Kogites for peaceful conduct, Strongly warns against violent protest


 

The Commissioner of Police in charge of Election Security in Kogi State Police Command: CP Yekini A. Ayoku mni has commended the people of Kogi State for conducting themselves in a peaceful and orderly manner during the just concluded Presidential National Assembly election.

He further urges the good people of the state to go about their lawful businesses and to shun all forms of instigation or raucous reactions that may arise from the result of the Election but noted that anyone with any complaint(s) should forward such through lawful channel to maintain a peaceful environment. He cautioned that people should not take the law into their hands, as the Police are determined to work in synergy with other Forces in the State to deal decisively with anyone who may want to disrupt the existing peace the State is enjoying.

The CP further expresses his satisfaction with the level of synergy exhibited by the security agencies during the just concluded election. He urges them to keep it up even as the State move towards the March 11th, 2023 State Assembly election.
