The People of Kogi West Senatorial District have been asked to see 2023 as a critical moments in the nation’s history that should not to be toyed with.


The African Democratic Congress Kogi West Senatorial District Flagbearer, Dele Williams, made the disclosure in a press conference held in Lokoja, expressed confidence in the electoral act as his reason for optimism.


The ADC flagbearer said the electoral act has ensured that the Primary’s held in many political parties saw the fall of some regular candidates, applauded the non coming of people he referred to as perennial candidates in Kogi West.

The ADC equally lauded the efforts of the electoral act which prevented politicians from jumping from one Party to the others after losing their primaries, expressed appreciation that he is a personal beneficiary of the electoral act as many people from the so called political parties tried to snatch his mandate but could not because of the new electoral act.

Dele Williams said inspite of woeful failure in security, the people’s inability to feed themselves, praised President Mohammadu Buhari for the electoral act which he pointed out is encouraging if it can be sustained pointing out it gives hope for the nation’s democracy.

The Lawyer and development Specialist, said until now people like him would have not have been given little chance before now, expressed confidence that with the new electoral act you can’t buy INEC for it to deliver for you.

He said he looks forward to the forthcoming general election expressing optimism that he will win, said he has alot of reasons to be optimistic with the Biometric Voter Accreditation System.

He assured that the ADC has a good chance in 2023 pointing out that the will of the people will prevail, stating that he is in politics to deliver and not to get position.

While pointing out the the people of Kogi West are now more wiser of the perennial political parties like the APC and PDP, having failed them over the years with failed promises, said the perennial political parties have made the case of the ADC straight forward.

Barr. Dele noted that the people of Kogi West have with a high level of disgruntleness, disaffection and unhappiness rejected the PDP and APC in Kogi West having failed on promises made to them, said the people of Kogi West are looking for alternative, with ADC as the only credible alternative.

The ADC flagbearer sited the outstanding performances of Hon. Leke Abejide, Member Representing Yagba Federal Constituency as what is encouraging the ADC to w we din in Kogi West, described the Lawmaker as one has caused whopositive change by the payment of WAEC, NECO fees to students in Yagba Federal Constituency and now those in Kabba Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency with the people of Lokoja Kogi Federal Constituency waiting eagerly to benefit from the benevolence and good representation of the ADC.

The ADC flagbearer explained that while the opposition party is working hard to meet with the yearnings and aspirations of the people, said the major party have failed woefully because the ADC is setting standard.

Barr Dele disclosed that something good is awaiting the people of Kogi West in ADC, said he is optimistic that the need to conquer vote buying through punishment of individuals and the political parties with laws will go a long way in reducing the malaise.

Barr. Dele listed the greatest problem of Nigeria as lack of justice infrastructure, lamented that the Justice system has collapsed lamented where laws are not implemented with consequences said if Elected he will strive to work for the independence of the judiciary and policing system.
