A Peoples Democratic Party Chieftain from Ajaokuta LGA, Hon. Silas Adagiri has described Barr. Kabiru Usman, as one Kogites who is passionately committed to a united Kogi State, reason why he would make a good Governor.
Hon. Silas made the disclosure while fielding questions from Newsmen in Lokoja and the forthcoming Governorship election, said several efforts is underway to drag Barr. Kabiru Usman into the Governorship Race, pointing out that he has what is required to build a virile Kogi State where all the people irrespective of the multi ethnic background of the State, would see themselves as one.
While pointing out that what Kogi State needs moving forward is a bridge builder, with capacity and character, disclosed that Barr. Kabiru has the combination of the qualities required to build a prosperous State.
Hon. Silas added that Barr. Kabiru remains an individual who has build bridges of friendship across the State, pointing out that his detribalized character traits and capacity to administer the State makes him the bride the PDP should desire to fly the party’s ticket.
Aside having an impeccable records that remains untainted, Hon. Silas said having made remarkable contributions to the growth of the PDP in the State, expressed optimism that he would deliver the much talked about infrastructure development to the State.
While pointing out that he will be leading a delegation of elders from the Central Senatorial District in the coming days with a view to appeal to Barr. Kabiru Usman to harken to the clarion call that is becoming deafening by the day across the State, urged him to accept the call for selfless service, particularly that he has proven with his personal and professional life that he is a man who makes success in every endeavours he finds himself.
Barr. Kabiru Usman is yet to make a pronouncement on calls for him to join the Guber race, he was born in 1966. He attended RCM Primary school, Ankpa 1972 – 1977 and St Charles College, Ankpa between 1977- 1982.
Upon completion of his secondary education, Barr. Kabiru proceeded to SBS, University of Jos from 1983- 1984, he later gained admission into the prestigious University of Jos between 1984-1988 and graduated with LL.B Hon’s.
Barr. Kabiru attended the Nigerian Law School between 1988-1989, he was the Head of Chambers, B.M Dalhatu & Co 1987-2000.
Barr. Usman Kabiru served as Principal Partner and Head of Practice, Deluxe Chambers from 2000 to date.
Barr. Kabiru Usman has equally held many political party positions. He was the Zonal Legal Adviser, PDP North Central, 2008 – 2014 and
PDP National legal Adviser in 2016.
Barr. Kabiru Usman was the Chairman Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic, Idah 2012- 2015
He served as Secretary, Kogi State Presidential Campaign Council for President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015, and has served the PDP in several many Committees.
Barr. Kabiru Usman is the Chairman, Board of Directors, Caribbean Petroleum Ltd, has attended many conferences, Workshops and Seminars on Governance and Economic development
A recipient of many Awards, Barr. Kabiru Usman is presently the Secretary Kogi State Presidential campaign for the Atiku 2023, is married and blessed with children.
An indigene of Ankpa LGA , Barr. Kabiru according to Hon. Silas is one individual who has been tried, tested and can be trusted has his integrity intact, has related well with the people in such a way that he has a broad spectrum of friends as hardly can he be faulted. He posit that Barr. Kabiru is a man with a free mind for many who have crossed his paths, said he would always be described as one who would not hurt his fellow human being, described him as a philanthropist per excellence, has touched lives in many positive ways.
