—-Tasks Incoming Government to Gazzete the Corp

 

The Commander of the Niger State Vigilante Corp,(NSVC) Comrade Nasiru Manta has reiterated the Corps Commitments and efforts towards ensuring that the Core Mandates for Which the Corp was established is realized.

Commander Manta disclosed this to the media at the Justice Idris Kutigi conference Hall, Minna Niger State, durring the issuance of
certificate of return to the Governor -elect Rt.Hon. Mahammed Umaru Bago, His Deputy alongside State assembly Members elect at the just concluded Governorship and State House of assembly elections in the state.

Speaking further, Commander Nasiru maitained that as a Voluntary organization, their Core Mandate was to Compliment the role of other Security agencies like the military and the Nigerian Police who are lead agencies in ensuring the security of lives and Properties of the Citizens and to also protect the territorial integrity of the nation, he however stressed that, due to the security Challenges Niger State had faced of recent, the Niger State Vigilante Corp has gone extra mile to become very active and responsive to the new Challenges, in some Cases their members has to pay the supreme price to secure lives and properties,he said.

He said due to the threat of banditry and terrorism that has affected the state, the Corp has Concentrated their Vigilance on the major forests in the state which happens to be the hideout of these men of the other world according to him, Saying that with the little Support they Occasionally get from the state Government, they have remain Committed to ensure a peaceful and secured Niger State.

Comrade Nasiru Manta Called on the incoming administration to approve the Corp as one of the Security agencies in the Country, for effective policing and the security of lives and Properties, adding that even without incentives like salaries and other packages, the Corp has demonstrated willingness, selflessness and patroitism, and that with approval from the federal government by giving the Corp recognition and incentives,no doubt insecurity and other threat would surely become a thing of the past,he said.

Nasiru Manta enjoined the good people of the State to remain law abiding and eschew any form of Criminality, even as he assured the people of the state of a crime free atmosphere.
