The Oworo Foundation has taken the lead, congratulate the Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Lokoja, Professor Adeyemi Akinwumi who was recently inducted as Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Letters.
This was contained in a statement issued by Kolade Umoru, the Executive Secretary, made available to newsmen today in Lokoja, Kogi State.
The Foundation has followed the achievements of Prof. Akinwumi with admiration as he exudes a great intellectual dispositions, research erudition and visionary leadership.
The awarding institutional body stated that Prof Akinwumi have been admitted into the prestigious Fellowship of the Academy on the basis of his outstanding contributions to scholarship and extension of the frontiers of knowledge in his subfields of the Humanities.
The Fellows of the Nigerian Academy of Letters are a group of distinguished scholars of the humanities, nominated and elected in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the humanistic scholarship.
The statement further said that “We have no doubt that he will bring his experiences to bear as the Vice Chancellor of Federal University and to the extent that Oworo Community will feel the impact of his leadership”
“Therefore, your investiture as a Fellow, Nigerian Academy of Letters is your recognition of robust contributions you have made to the World of knowledge”
“May God grant you the Grace of long life in good health and with more honours” the statement reads.
